Happiest Boy in the World (REFLECTION)

HAPPIEST BOY IN THE WORLD          This story written by NVM Gonzales is such an appriciating story especially for what we call 'kabataan' in order for them to realize what is the real meaning of EDUCATION. It's dissapointing to know that some of the children nowadays have enough money for them to go to school and learn for their future, but instead of going to school, some of them use to be in the school but not interested to go to their classes. Some of them, learn how to 'WHOLEDAY', 'CUTTING CLASSES' and worse, they are bullying helpless and successful students for nonsense reasons. I was thinking, what now is the feeling of the children who is wanted to learn and will do everything just to be in the school? It is a really big problem to spend money to go to school and at the end of the day you learn 'NOTHING'. Just like Jose(main character in the play) who eanted to learn and go to school but because of shotness of money, because of financial ...

The Sacrifice (REFLECTION)

THE SACRIFICE             In this story written by Celso Al Carunungan , I was able to feel sad because of the sacrifice shown by the parents for their son named  Crispin (one of the main character in the story). While I was reading the story, I saw myself as Crispin because my mother is an Overseas Filipino Worker she is a chef and 2 years ago, I don't want her to be away from us, I don't want her to go to other country because 'What are we going to do if one time me or my brother is sick while she is away?' I know my father can handle that example of situation but it is still different if she is by my side. It is still different if we can feel each others love and care. But in the middle of my opossing, I realize WHY? WHAT? Why is she going to other country? What is the reason? I realize it was for us. She is doing that thing for the goodness of her family. That's why even if against my will, I let her. Even if it hurts to be away from her, I let ...

The World is an Apple (REFLECTION)

The World is an Apple          "The World is an Apple" written by Alberto S. Florentino is such a relating story, it is a play about a poor family who struggles financial demands of life. Like what I've said, this story is a kind of story that makes me think over and over again about what Mario (one of the main character in the story) asked in the certain part of the play, 'Why, did god create apples trees to bear fruit for the rich alone? Didn't he create the world for everyone?' I was like, "Owwww" because that question is the hardest question I've ever heard. It's easier to compute math problems than to answer this question. Honestly, I, myself came from a not-so rich family and sometimes, I don't get some of my needs. Mario reminded me to think about this inequality in a more profound level. I may be born from a poor family but i know that is not my fault. An apple nowadays depends on how we plant it, and for me, that apple need so...
